NXT UP Esports Partners With Atlanta Premier

DATE: May 31, 2022

Atlanta Premier and NXT UP Esports today announced a partnership to create esports summer camps in the Atlanta community.

Through Atlanta Premier’s connection to local youth, the two companies will team up to create in-person and virtual esports camps. Camps will teach players advanced in-game skills and strategies while also focusing on developing teamwork and leadership skills. The first camp will start this coming July.

“I am super excited to announce this new partnership because this project has been almost a whole year in the making. Together we can make a big difference for the rapidly growing esports community here in Atlanta. Just having the opportunity to share our passion for gaming and esports with the next generation is a huge honor and privilege. The Future is Now. The Future is Atlanta," said Chase Peterson, Co-owner and founder of Atlanta Premier.

Players will come from Atlanta Premier’s connection with local youth organizations. The in-person camps will be held at Mad Hatters Cyber Arena in Marietta, Georgia. The esports training camp is a part of a larger esports education and STEM camp program Atlanta Premier is launching this summer.

“Atlanta has quickly become one of the hottest esports and gaming cities in the country and we’re happy to extend our esports training programs to this great city. We believe all kids deserve the opportunity learn, grow, and excel in their favorite video games and Atlanta Premier is the perfect partner to do this with,” said Luke Zelon, Founder of NXT UP Esports.

Over the past two months, NXT UP Esports announced partnerships with Team Liquid, US Sports Camps, and Greater Texas Esports. This marks the fourth partnership in NXT UP Esports’ program expansion to players across the country. The Atlanta gaming community is one of the fastest growing and most influential cities in the US.

Recently it was announced that Atlanta Premier has signed 2 new pro esports players in Elijah Hill and Brian Campbell. Hill has made a return to the team following the Split 2 Playoffs where Premier finished 7th. In a tongue-in-cheek announcement video released on their official twitter, Hill and Atlanta Premier poke fun at his departure and the team’s subsequent performance in the following split. The future of the Atlanta Premier roster is looking bright at the moment with Hill’s return as the in-game leader alongside fellow teammate Crook.
